Consequential Formation is a candidate methodological, representational, and engineering unification framework. RC1 is not frozen, a validated universal theory, or a declaration of discovery.
The front-door intuition
Something happens. It leaves something behind. What remains changes the present conditions. Those conditions change what can happen next.
Form is accumulated consequence.
That intuition is not the complete method. CF begins by withholding explanatory privilege from the categories already embedded in the question.
The constitutive operation
Suspension comes first.
We do not begin by assuming the categories in the question are the categories in the territory. We temporarily withhold their explanatory privilege, preserve the observations, reconstruct what the observations require, and let familiar categories return only if they earn their way back.

A noun that was never removed cannot be said to have survived the CF filter. This is not a ban on grammatical nouns; it is a rule against letting inherited labels do unexplained causal or boundary work.

A past event matters later only insofar as its consequence remains physically or functionally instantiated in the current state. The past does not haunt the present. The past changes the present.

Independence test
Can the returned concept be defined without importing the other relations reconstructed with it?

Record it as PRIMITIVE, OFFICE, INDEX, OPERATOR, COMPOSITE / EMERGENT, COMPRESSION NOUN, or OPEN DEBT.
Remove the old noun. Reconstruct. Then remove our new noun too.
A concept may be indispensable without being primitive. CF applies this test recursively to its own vocabulary.
Technical formulation
Declare the state, horizon, and interventions.

Calibration, not new physics
Mutual constitution does not mean identity.
Removing time, energy, matter, and gravity did not make their phenomena disappear or reveal one hidden substance. Their familiar offices decomposed and became difficult to define independently. Established physics already contains an approximate dependency schematic: E ↔ geometry ↔ proper time ↔ causal / reachability structure ↔ E.
This is not an identity equation. CF did not derive relativity, gravity, Lorentzian structure, quantum interference, dimensionality, or continuity. Native GR and quantum mathematics remain authoritative.

These are working classifications, not immutable ontology.
What counts as a retained consequence?
Intervention test
Remove, alter, or isolate the suspected consequence. If later reachability changes, the difference is consequential under that test.
Present carrier
Identify the structure, state, relation, constraint, recovery route, or probability shift carrying the history now.
Comparison boundary
Specify what is preserved, what breaks, and what remains incomparable before claiming cross-domain correspondence.
Current status
The organizing grammar is coherent enough to formalize and test.
Some software, formal, and simulation branches have bounded evidence. Their results do not automatically validate the whole framework.
CF is not new physics, a solved theory of life or consciousness, or proof that different domains are identical.
Immediate engineering test
Can experience become executable formation?
CAPABILITY != HOST POLICY != ACQUIRED FORMATION. A host reasoner may begin with powerful language, coding, mathematics, simulation, tools, and habits of checking or decomposition. MFM must first profile that bare-host policy, then test whether acquired formation causes a later change in recruitment, reasoning, or admissibility.
Status: SPECIFICATION / BUILD-TEST TARGET. MFM is not an achieved intelligence, and it is not claimed to be alive, conscious, or autonomous.
The v0.4 RC1 architecture correction
Ledger for audit. Formed susceptibility for execution.
Formation Ledger
An auditable graph or hypergraph records what formed and why, including provenance, contradiction, transfer, debugging, and causal credit.
Formative Field
Indexed susceptibilities, gates, masks, and tolerances are the candidate runtime. Present conditions should recruit a sparse coalition without rescoring everything retained.
COMPOSE?
A small, independently ablatable office may turn the recruited coalition into coherent host input. If raw coalition delivery performs as well, delete it.
Representation for audit is not mechanism of execution. A graph may remain the best debugger and transfer object without being called the thought. The field must beat graph, RAG, RETE, production-system, pub-sub, and content-addressable baselines under matched quality and lifecycle cost.
Dedicated candidate program
Embodiment is tested as changing physical reachability.
A machine may have access to different sensors, tools, compute, storage, vehicles, generation, and recovery resources at different times. CF v0.4 RC1 therefore treats embodiment as an index over currently reachable capability, energy, authority, and connectivity rather than assuming one intelligence equals one chassis.
This does not establish one self across bodies. Identity during transfer or partition remains criterion-dependent and open. Formation should travel only when the regularity it encodes travels, with provenance and validation on arrival.
What would kill it
Renaming causation is not enough.
If CF cannot produce clearer variables, discriminating interventions, better predictions, lower verified cost, or useful engineering decisions beyond established native methods, the framework should be narrowed or demoted.
